The Dhofar Frankincense distillation plant is located in Salalah, close to the natural habitats of frankincense trees, ensuring the resin is received fresh without losing its natural components. The plant operates with an advanced 800-liter distillation unit made of high-quality, corrosion-resistant stainless steel, preventing any electrochemical reactions that could damage the compounds.
The distillation process uses a controlled gradual heating system that guarantees pure oil free from burning, while a water-cooled condenser converts the vapor into a mixture of hydrosol and oil, which is then carefully separated to obtain the essential frankincense oil.
Each distillation cycle takes less than six hours, producing an oil with a pure aroma that preserves its key constituents. The oil is then filled into UN-certified aluminum containers for international shipping, while frankincense hydrosol is packed automatically into IBC tanks without human intervention, maintaining its purity and quality.
We carry out the distillation process using state-of-the-art equipment to ensure the highest purity and quality.
We conduct GC–MS testing in accredited laboratories to verify the ideal chemical composition.
We provide frankincense essential oil, frankincense hydrosol, and secondary products (oleogum-resin residue) ready for industrial and commercial use.
